(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant (MC) John Edward Nardini (NSN: 0-80531), United States Navy, was awarded the Silver Star (Army Award) for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action against the enemy while serving as a Medical Officer with the FOURTH Marine Regiment, in action during the defense of the Philippine Islands, in 1942. Lieutenant Nardini’s gallant actions and selfless devotion to duty, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service.
