(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross with Combat “V” to Major Wilmer Newlin Grubb (AFSN: AO-2211784), United States Air Force, for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as Pilot of an RF-101 Voodoo reconnaissance aircraft with the 20th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron, Tan Son Nhut Air Base, South Vietnam, in action over Southeast Asia in 1965/1966. The outstanding heroism and selfless devotion to duty displayed by Major Grubb reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.

His gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United States Air Force.
