(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Air Force Distinguished Service Medal to Brigadier General Harry Albright French (ASN: 0-22908), United States Air Force, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States as Deputy Chief of Staff, Plans and Programs, Headquarters AFCS, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois from 1961 to 1963; Chief of Staff, Headquarters AFCS, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois from 1963 to 1964; and culminating as Assistant Chief of Staff, Communications and Electronics, U.S. Pacific Command, Hawaii, from 1964 to 1968. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of General French culminate a long and distinguished career in the service of his country and his dedicated contributions reflect the highest credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
