(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to George Leroy Robinson, United States Army, for extraordinary heroism in connection with military operations against an armed enemy while serving as Pilot of a B-17 Bomber and Commanding Officer of the 306th Bombardment Group (Heavy), EIGHTH Air Force, in action against enemy forces in the European Theater of Operations during World War II. His intrepid actions, personal bravery and zealous devotion to duty exemplify the highest traditions of the military forces of the United States and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.

The gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty demonstrated by Lieutenant Colonel Robinson, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army Air Forces.
