Donohoe (ASN: 35932106), United States Army, for heroism not involving actual conflict with an enemy in connection with military operations against an enemy of the United States while serving with the 702d Tank Battalion, 80th Infantry Division, in Luxembourg on 3 February 1945. On that date, a fire accidentally broke out in a large gasoline supply point located in Reuland, Luxembourg. By completely disregarding the dangers of their task and by working swiftly Sergeant Donohoe and others of the detail saved many lives and much valuably property. His courage and devotion to duty were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit and the United States Army.
