The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Soldier’s Medal to Second Lieutenant (Air Corps) Fred W. Edwards, United States Army Air Forces, for heroism while serving with the 46th Bombardment Squadron (Medium) at United States Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, North Carolina, on the night of 13 January 1943.
