The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of a Second Award of the Air Force Distinguished Service Medal to Major General Charles C. Pattillo (ASN: 0-826755), United States Air Force, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States. General Pattillo distinguished himself as Commander, Lowry Technical Training Center, Lowry Air Force Base, Colorado, from 6 September 1973 to 8 August 1975. During this period, General Pattillo’s outstanding achievements, dynamic leadership and initiative resulted in the development of a technical training system extremely responsive to the global requirements of Air Force using commands. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of General Pattillo reflect the highest credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
