The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Army Distinguished Service Medal to Lieutenant Colonel of Infantry Maurice Androit, French Army, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States, during World War I. As Regulating Officer for the French railroads at American Headquarters, Services of Supply, Lieutenant Colonel Androit displayed remarkable efficiency in meeting the needs of the American forces for railroad transportation. By his untiring energy and technical ability he satisfied all sudden calls made upon him for railroad facilities.
