The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Army Distinguished Service Medal to Lieutenant Colonel (Judge Advocate General’s Department) Neal Power, United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished services to the Government of the United States, in a duty of great responsibility during World War I. As Head of the Special Disciplinary Division in the Office of the Judge Advocate, American Expeditionary Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Power was charged with duties of an exceptionally arduous and responsible nature, in the performance of which he displayed high professional attainments and notable devotion to duty.
