The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Navy Distinguished Service Medal to Rear Admiral Hugh Rodman, United States Navy, for exceptionally meritorious service in a duty of great responsibility as Commander, Division NINE, United States Atlantic Fleet, which served with the British Grand Fleet as the SIXTH Battle Squadron during World War I.
