    The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, 20 July 1942, takes pleasure in presenting a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of a Second Award of the Legion of Merit to Colonel (Corps of Engineers) Steven Malevich, United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States from June 1952 to May 1963. [This award supersedes the award of the Army Commendation Medal to Colonel Malevich for meritorious service during the period 1 August 1957 to 27 February 1959 as announced in General Orders Number 10, Headquarters, VII Corps, dated 28 February 1959 and the Army Commendation Medal (First Oak Leaf Cluster) for meritorious service during the period August 1962 to May 1963 as announced in General Orders Number 32, Headquarters, United States Army Combat Development Command, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, dated 7 May 1963.]
