    The President of the United States of America, authorized by Executive Order 11046, 24 August 1962, takes pleasure in presenting the Bronze Star Medal to Sergeant First Class David G. White, United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious achievement while assigned to Headquarters and Service Company, 2d Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, 3d Armored Division, during Operation DESERT STORM, from 17 January to 4 March 1991. Sergeant First Class White’s dedication to the welfare of his soldiers, technical expertise and sound professional judgment provided unprecedented personnel support to the entire battalion. His tireless mission focus was key in maintaining the Battalion’s high level of morale. He was responsible for 44 soldiers and 14 wheeled vehicles throughout all phases of combat operations. Sergeant First Class White’s outstanding performance of duty reflects distinct credit upon himself, the 3d Armored Division, and the United States Army.
