The President of the United States of America, authorized by Executive Order 11046, 24 August 1962, takes pleasure in presenting the Bronze Star Medal to Major Julian H. Bond, United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious service while assigned as the Company Commander, 756th Transportation Company, 4th Sustainment Brigade, from 23 October 2005 to 22 October 2006, during the time of hostilities in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. Major Bond’s leadership, unwavering commitment to mission accomplishment and demonstrated technical expertise were above and beyond all expectations and proved vital to successful combat operations in Iraq. His initiative and courage in a hostile situation are indicative of the highest standards of service and reflect great credit upon himself, the 3d Corps Support Command, and the United States Army.
