(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Staff Sergeant Hubert Jolly Pickle (ASN: AF-14010149), United States Army, was awarded the Soldier’s Medal for heroism at the risk of life not involving conflict with an armed enemy while serving with Headquarters Company, Supply Battalion, 2d Armored Division, east of Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Staff Sergeant Pickle drove a flaming gasoline truck out of a field full of several million gallons of gasoline in containers.
