Awarded for actions during the Global War on Terror

The Secretary of the Army of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Army Commendation Medal with Combat "V" to Sergeant First Class Daniel Stoner, United States Army, for exceptionally valorous actions on 18 November 2007 during a devastating improvised rocket attack on COP CALLAHAN, Baghdad, Iraq. Sergeant First Class Stoner continually exposed himself to multiple rocket attacks, in order to confirm the safety and accountability of all soldiers and civilians on the COP. Sergeant First Class Stoner's bravery is in keeping with the finest traditions of military heroism and reflect distinct credit upon himself, the 95th Military Police Battalion, the 18th Military Police Brigade, and the United States Army.
