Terry Scott enlisted in the Navy in 1976. He graduated with honors from the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy in 1990, and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University. In 2002 he was appointed the tenth Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy.
