(Citation Needed) - SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant, Junior Grade Eppa Livingston Vaughan (NSN: 0-320746), United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (Posthumously) for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a Bomber Pilot embarked in U.S.S. TICONDEROGA (CV-14) over the Inland Sea of Japan on 24 July 1945.
